Orthodox Church Serving Largo, FL
If you live in Largo and are looking for an Orthodox church, St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church is your nearest option in the Ukrainian Orthodox tradition. We are about six miles southeast of Largo Central Park, in neighboring Pinellas Park, and easy to reach by Ulmerton Road and 66th Street North.
Largo has a population of about 84,000 and is a major hub of central Pinellas County, but the city itself does not have an Orthodox parish. The nearest parishes for Largo residents are Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, about five miles northeast; our parish, about six miles southeast; St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, also in Pinellas Park and also southeast of Largo; and St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg, about eight miles south. Of these, St. Michael is the only Ukrainian Orthodox parish, and the only one where the Divine Liturgy is prayed in Ukrainian and English.
Drive Time and Route from Largo
From Largo Central Park, the drive to St. Michael is about 8 miles and takes about 17 minutes without traffic. The most direct route:
- From the park, head east on 8th Avenue SE, which becomes Donegan Road, and turn right on Lake Avenue SE
- Turn left (east) on Ulmerton Road and continue about 2.5 miles
- Turn right (south) on 66th Street North and continue about 2.5 miles
- Turn left (east) on 94th Avenue North
- Turn right onto 60th Street; the church is just ahead, at 9201 60th St
From East Largo, you can also take East Bay Drive east to US 19 South, take the exit for 110th Avenue North, turn right (west) on 110th Avenue North, and then turn left (south) on 60th Street. The church is about a mile ahead. From Largo City Hall this way is also about 8 miles, roughly 16 minutes without traffic.

If your family heritage is Ukrainian, or if you have arrived in Tampa Bay from Ukraine in recent years, our parish offers Sunday Divine Liturgy in both Ukrainian and English. Cantors lead bilingual congregational singing. Sermons are in English. Parish life follows the Ukrainian liturgical calendar and traditions.
A bilingual Divine Liturgy for mixed families. Many families are bilingual or bicultural. A Ukrainian-American couple, a family with grandparents who speak Ukrainian and grandchildren who speak English, a convert married to someone of Ukrainian heritage. Our Divine Liturgy serves all of you in one room.
